Celebrate Lansing at 517 Day, a free community event hosted by Moneyball Sportswear on Saturday, May 17 from 12 PM to 5 PM at our headquarters, located at 927 W Saginaw Street in Lansing. This special day is a tribute to Lansing’s rich legacy, vibrant culture, and bright future.

The event will feature a 100-year tribute to Malcolm X, including a special video message from his daughter, Ilyasah Shabazz, followed by a guest speaker and live Q&A with Debbie. Local historian Bill Castanier will lead a presentation and video on Lansing’s history. From 1 PM to 4 PM, attendees can participate in a hands-on creative experience, designing and painting their own pair of Moneyball slides with artist Mila.

Families can enjoy food trucks, a bounce house, and activities for all ages. Shoppers will also enjoy an exclusive 517 Day offer: buy a pair of MB95 sneakers and receive a free T-shirt and pair of socks.

517 Day is more than an event — it’s a gathering rooted in unity, hometown pride, and celebration. Join us to shop, learn, connect, and honor the legacy of Lansing.
